Since 1962 the Lake Geneva Jaycees have hosted the Venetian Festival, a five-day event that features fireworks, a lighted boat parade, carnival, water ski show, live music and more. This is the largest revenue generator for the club, with all net profits going back into our local community non-profits. Happy 4th of July! This week we celebrate America’s Independence, and showcase our pride and patriotism in living in a free country. How blessed we are.

Today you can be part of something very special. Our friends at American Legion Post 327 in Lyons have revived and reinstated this post for the next generation of veterans. This evening at 5:30 p.m. Visit Lake Geneva will hold a ribbon-cutting at the Grand Geneva Resort’s flagpole in front of the main lobby to commemorate American Legion Post 327 as they welcome post-Gulf War veterans and inspire the next generation of Wisconsin's leaders. On Saturday, June 1 Lakes Area LifeWay produced the third annual Mr. Lake Geneva pageant. Eight contestants from around the region competed for the top title of Mr. Lake Geneva, including VLG partners: Skip Harless of Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, Kevin Singh of Guac Star, Abel Rosas of Elena in home Catering, and Matt Stinebrink of Stinebrink's Piggly Wiggly. Together all eight amazing gentlemen raised over $104,000 for area non profit organizations, which 50% of their final scores were derived. Congratulations to Visit Lake Geneva Board Chairman and Managing Director of Grand Geneva, Skip Harless for earning this year's title of Mr. Lake Geneva 2024! READ MORE >

Thank you to everyone who attended the 48th Annual Electric Christmas Parade in downtown Lake Geneva. We had record-breaking attendance with 86 floats, bands, dancers and dignitaries. A panel of 4 volunteer parade judges, made up of this year’s Impact Award winners, were in charge of selecting the best non-profit float. The winner was no surprise – the Lake Geneva Badger High School Football Team, WIAA Division II State Football Champions. For the win they’ll receive $500. READ MORE >
